The Executive Coaching Component of the MMHC Program
August 2008 The Inaugural Class
The Master of Management in Health Care Program at Owen School of Management embarked on its inaugural year the summer of 2007. This program is tailored for management effectiveness and increased leadership potential for middle to senior managers in a variety of health care and health delivery settings.
Recognizing that health care leaders have unique challenges and opportunities, a dynamic leadership development experience has been designed especially for this population. A combination of evidence-based leadership assessment and customized individual executive coaching provides each student with a leadership plan crafted to their individual needs. Customized and individualized development plans of this depth are rare in academic programs.
Students report, at the early phase, that they are excited about the opportunity to work one-on-one with Coach Churchill to develop themselves as leaders. Creating synergy between management knowledge gained and leadership confidence puts the MMHC program at the leading edge.
